Zeds Threads is different from most tailoring stores in Vietnam.
No compromise on quality
We are not order takers who then outsource to available capacity at different workshops and factories. We make everything in our own workshop and thus can control the final quality. If we cannot fulfil an order in the time required by our clients we turn the order down. Our focus is on quality and not quantity.
All our clothing is made to a paper pattern. We never design on the fabric.
We save you time
For men we have developed our own sizing systems in a European height and an Asian height. We have two fits: slim fit and a regular fit. Thus our clothing can be bought off the rack but the main purpose is that we use the ready made clothing as fitting garments. Over 95% of our clients are within these two sizing systems.
The advantage of using fitting garments is that the first visit by a customer to our store is also their first fitting. For the vast majority of our customers they only require to come to our store twice. First for the initial order and fitting and the second time to pick up their order. This is a huge time saving for our clients. This process we call made-to-measure tailoring. We adjust existing patterns to suit the client's needs. This is the most popular tailoring method by far.
The second advantage of having fitting garments is that clients find it much easier to estimate the amount of ease they prefer (the extra amount of fabric beyond their body measurement). This also reduces the number of fittings required.
Traditional tailoring services
We also offer the traditional bespoke tailoring service for the small number of clients who are outside our sizing systems but this method takes longer because the first fitting is on their second visit to our store and on average more fittings are required than in made-to-measure tailoring.
We also offer a bespoke copying service whereby our patternmaker makes a new pattern according to a client's existing item of clothing. This is the most time intensive method and thus the most expensive.

Similarly if you buy off the rack you get the choice of two sizing systems and two fits, but also all the ready-to-wear clothing is also handmade! Again when compared to the quality shirt makers for ready-to-wear shirts we offer the most choice and the best value. Also our sizing systems are based on recent 3D scanning of people and are much more accurate than traditional industry sizing systems.
We ship all over the world
If in Hanoi come and try for yourself or you can order by email if you are outside of Hanoi. Some clients send us a copy of the garment they want made. Others fill out our sizing sheet which can be requested by email. Payment is by PayPal. We can deliver by courier or using the Vietnamese postal service. We have delivered all over the world with 100% success.
