Repairs & Alterations

Community Service & Sustainability

We are happy offer a repairs and alterations service is to help conserve the life of treasured garments that may have worn out or because there has been a change in weight and the garment needs to be adjusted to fit well again.

Please bring the garment(s) to our store and our staff will provide you with a quotation. (Some garments cannot be saved as there is not enough fabric to make a repair or alteration.)

For alterations our pattern maker will pin the excess fabric to achieve the previous fit you were comfortable with. The alterations are agreed to and documented. (Please se the slide show above). If you require additional alterations we will provide a quotation for those.

Please understand that repairs and alterations are a community service. We are committed to extending the life of your treasured garments because it is in line with our values.

What We Cannot Do!

Please don't buy clothes that do not fit you. ​We cannot fix clothing that has never fitted you.  Some clients want their garment altered in a major way to become something the garment was never designed to do. We do not provide this service even if the alteration is theoretically possible. There are no exceptions to this. 

We can only alter new items that already fit you well and require minor alterations e.g. the length of a pair of  pants needs adjusting.
