Customer needs for more fitted garments transformed us from a Ready-to-Wear producer to a tailor. In men’s clothing we are the premier Made-to-Measure tailor in Asia. We have one of the largest men’s sizing systems, and possibly the largest in the world.

Established 2011
Zeds Threads began in 2011 when we opened for business in Hanoi's Tay Ho district. From the start we wanted to focus on quality over quantity and honour our commitment to fair trade best practice. Zed's Threads proudly offers our clients a high calibre customised tailoring service with attention to detail at sensible prices. When it comes to the quality of our product and customer service we happily admit to having an old-fashioned approach.
Artisan Handmade & Customised
Our garments are handmade in our workshop. We never outsource work nor are our garments made by piecework; this means we have total control over the quality of our product. When you purchase a bespoke shirt from us, once you've been professionally measured only two people are then involved in the construction of your shirt: the pattern maker and the seamstress.
Fair trade Philosophy
Zeds Threads was founded on a fair trade philosophy when it comes to wages and working conditions. We buy most of our fabrics from Korea and Japan, for the quality, yes, but also because our suppliers rate highly when it comes to internationally accepted standards of industrial practices.
In addition to carefully sourcing our fabric, for our first two and a half years our business functioned as a social enterprise with an intake of young deaf and mute people who we trained to tailor men's and women's garments at an artisan level. When taking on new employees we give priority to people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We regularly support local charity and NGO organisations in their fund raising efforts by providing gift vouchers and publicising their efforts with our customers.
Clients at our Hanoi store enjoy discount wholesale prices and will continue to do so even after we start retailing online. The feedback loop possible by directly serving clients is invaluable as we continue to develop further products.
