Zeds Threads is conveniently located between the Airport and the Old Quarter. We are about 5-6km from the Old Quarter. That's about 15-20 minutes by taxi. We recommend the Uber type apps such as Grab, GoViet (bike only), and Taxi Mail Linh.

A small taxi from the Old Quarter will cost under 100,000 VND. Please call us if you have any difficulty in locating our store.

Why almost "near me tailoring"
​is worthwhile!

Location of Zeds Threads compared to the Hanoi Old Quarter Zeds Threads is about 5-6km from the old quarter by taxi.
It has been 10 years since we started setting up Zeds Threads (2011) and we are now into our 9th year of serving the public. Over this period we have established a reputation for affordable excellence. 

As a traditional or artisan based tailor we are a low volume producer as each item of clothing is made by a single person. There is no production line. This is the lowest volume form of tailoring possible. The upside for clients is lasting quality and the perfect fit. 

This has enabled us to build a very strong word of mouth presence and also endorsements from clients' reviews with predominantly 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor, Facebook, Google and other sites, This has come from a very low customer base. We have been the leading Hanoi tailor in terms of reputation with international visitors since 2013. Nearly all our business has come from word of mouth. 

Of the major tailors, we are furtherest from our main customer: overseas visitors. Most international visitors stay close to the centre of town. As you can see in the map (which does not list all tailors) the majority of tailors are concentrated in the city centre. Why is Zeds one of the exceptions? 

​As a low volume producer we cannot cover the rent differential without increasing our prices substantially. We would have to stop being an artisan tailor and produce in significant volume to lower the price of our clothing to a level where we can be competitive. Paying for attention is an expensive exercise as higher rents are just the thin edge of the wedge. Our customers would be paying significantly more in rent and branding per item of clothing. Volume can provide cheaper prices but not the same value as a focus on quality. Certainly more customers and more profitability for us if successful, but we are in  love with traditional tailoring. That is our bliss! We choose quality over quantity any day.

​We are not so far from the Hanoi old town but we are not the "nearest me" tailor. Zeds is about 5.2 km from the northern tip of Hoan Kiem lake by taxi.  That's about 15-20 minutes. With Uber like apps such as Grab, Go Viet (bike only), and Taxi Mai Linh, It has never been easier getting around Hanoi!

​Zeds is conveniently located on the way to the airport from the city centre for clients to pick up their orders. Please ask in store if you qualify for a reimbursement of taxi fares based on your hotel location and purchase order.
