FAIRTRADE and ETHICAL clothing
Making a profit is very important for any business to survive. The problem with having just the profit motive as the sole guiding light is that once you take this road, the DNA of this philosophy is to continuously increase profits. What happens is that accuracy and quality decrease but also exploitation of workers and the environment increases. There are two ideals that we are not prepared to do away with: high quality and fair trade ethics for workers. We believe that win/win for customers, staff, and shareholders is the most ethical road to take.
Outsourcing has become dominant because it is the quickest way to keep increasing profits and to abrogate responsibility to the consequences. It is the workers, their communities, and the environment that pay the price.
Consumers have a great deal of power by the choices they make. We are all consumers. By changing our consumption habits we can create a fairer world and more sustainable economies so that future generations can enjoy life on this planet.
