Zeds Threads has been a clothing startup since 2011. At our tailor shop in Hanoi clients have been paying a discounted wholesale price. The retail business will be online. Once we go online with our business the clothing at our Hanoi store will still be discounted to the online store.
Fair trade Philosophy
Zeds Threads was founded an a fair trade philosophy. The main area we have control of are wages and working conditions. We also buy most of our fabrics that are made in Korea and Japan for the quality but also the labour and environmental standards are high by international standards.
For two and a half years we functioned also as a social enterprise with an intake of young deaf and mute people whom we trained in both men's and women's garment making to an artisan level. We give priority to people from disadvantaged backgrounds in employment.
We also regularly support local charity and NGO organisations in their fund raising efforts by providing gift vouchers and publicising their efforts with our customers.

Artisan Handmade & Customised
Our garments are handmade in our workshop. We don't outsource. We have total control over the quality. Our artisans are instructed to focus on quality rather than quantity. We make clothing like all luxury brands used to when they first started. Each item of clothing is customised to the unique specifications of each customer.
